Moncaro was founded in 1964 in Montecarotto, a small town located in the heart of Castelli di Jesi, the production area of Verdicchio wine. In line with the intention of enhancing the territory, two additional wineries were acquired, one in the Rosso Conero production area, Camerano, and one in the Rosso Piceno production area, Acquaviva Picena. Long-term outlook and desire to innovate are the virtues that make our winery a solid and transparent reality, together with the conviction that there is an indissoluble bond between man and earth, in which we have always believed.

The Cooperative Society is founded by a group of winemakers with the aim of enhancing their production and that of the whole area

In this year green viticulture is growing: Moncaro increases its organic production with the reconversion of 175 hectares of vineyards in addition to the 60 already certified. The reconversion concerns 45 hectares of vineyards in the Conero area and 130 in the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi area.

In collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Marche, Moncaro joins Vitinnova, a project committed to a better management of organic vineyards, using for example Chitosan instead of copper, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of cultivation and production.
